Nothing says more about our commitment to the land than putting our money where our mouth is. We donate 5% of all online and expo sales to non-profits that share our passion to conserve wild places and public access. To date we've supported organizations including Leave No Trace (2024) and the Trust for Public Land (2025).

Our frames are made with Grilamid TR90, a sturdy and resistant nylon blend. We carefully choose our materials to maintain ultra performance while reducing our environmental impact. FKT frames average 40% post-industrial use recycled content. Selecting sustainable materials and implementing eco-conscious practices can be more costly, which means we make less money, but that’s a trade-off we’re willing to make.

We manufacture in a ISO 14001:2015 certified facility (aka they have taken the steps to be as green as possible). The facility reuses production water for up to 5 months prior to discharge, drastically reducing fresh water consumption. They also consume energy from 100% renewable sources, and have installed low-energy fixtures. All of our cardboard packaging is sourced from Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified vendors. Did we mention our cleaning cloths and pouches are made from recycled water bottles?

Whether you wear your FKT sunglasses for a handful of seasons exploring our National Parks or summit every 14er in Colorado, you can send them back to us and we’ll recycle them when you’re done. Did we mention we do this for sunnies from competing brands as well? There's no point in just tossing them out! When you participate in our recycling program, we'll give you a 10% discount and provide you with a mailer to send those old dogs our way.
