The Mineral King Loop is 36.3 miles with 12,140 ft of breathtaking (literally and figuratively) vertical gain taking you through subalpine valleys and high granite peaks. A quirky aspect to watch out for with this trail is the marmots known for wreaking havoc on campsites and even cars in the area. Read more about the pesky marmots here.

FKT’s shatter-proof polycarbonate lenses aren’t polarized because polarization isn’t what a trail athlete needs. Polarization is wonderful if you’re on the water or snow, but it can cause depth perception issues if you’re running on a trail with variable light conditions. That’s why we opt for our Trail Vision tech which provides 100% UVA/UVB protection. All lenses are treated with hydro-oleophobic, anti-scratch, and anti-reflective coatings to ensure you maintain a consistent field of view through ever-changing conditions.

Happened upon FKT at The Rut, in Big Sky this fall. Great story, and quality in materials, lens clarity, frame colors and the brown/amber lens. So off into the wilderness I went. 10 hours later I emerged with a fondness for FKT.
Back here in New England, friends all loved them, and proceeded to order them. As with all things, styles change and you're left wishing you had backup. So I've got 2 green and 2 tortoise Mineral Kings both with the brown lens. Go big and keep the adventure coming... get em I say
I ordered the tortoise and black before The RUT after first trying them on at a Missoula community event. They are perfect for times where I can't wear my polarized glasses or don't need them. I don't have any depth perception issues at all! The also survived a fall when they were hanging from the front of my shirt. That alone was impressive enough.
I bought these at the Leadville 100 expo 2024. I wore them during the race and beyond. They're awesome. Excited for the future adventures with them on my face!
Glad to hear they met your expectations for the 100! Best of adventures to you in the future!
I’ve had these for about a month and been loving them. Mainly been using them for running, but also been great for golf and fishing. Fit is super comfortable, don’t fog up at all, and the color and darkness of the lenses is perfect for taking out the glare but not being too dark. Highly recommend.
Have had these now about one month.
I have never been able to be very compliant with eye protection in the past because sunglasses squeeze my nose and pinch behind my ears and give me a headache.
These sunglasses fit so well and are the most comfortable I have ever found.
I will wear them hiking and don't realize I am still wearing them and garden and work in my yard all day and never have to take them off due to pain.
After being outside for 8 plus hours my eyes feel rested and comfortable and my ears are pain free.
I bought the peridot color
